Does anyone else have difficulty exporting a QT file that doesn't have washed out gamma? I'm still trying to find a decent workaround for that one.

Are you working on a Mac or a PC? They have different standard gamma settings. Macs are set higher. FCP works in a gamma that will match PCs & TVs, but when you export a QT, unless you set your QT settings to match FCP's gamma, it will appear washed out.
